1. Who We Are
SnapQuote AI ("SnapQuote", "we", "us") provides a sales automation platform for contractors and local service businesses. Our AI chat widget is embedded on our customers' websites to qualify visitors, prepare price quotes, and book appointments. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website (snapquote.ai), our platform, and our internal tools.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information. When a business signs up or signs in with Google, we receive their name, email address, and profile picture from their Google Account.
- Business configuration. Product catalogs, pricing rules, branding, and scheduling preferences that our business customers provide to configure their account.
- Chat and lead data. When a visitor uses the SnapQuote widget on a business customer's website, we process the conversation on that business's behalf: messages, project details, contact information the visitor chooses to share, and files the visitor uploads.
- Usage data. Standard analytics information about how our website is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type), collected via cookies and similar technologies.
3. Google User Data
Some SnapQuote features connect to Google services with your permission. For each connection we request only the scopes needed for the feature to work:
- Google Sign-In. Used solely to create and authenticate your SnapQuote account. We receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Calendar access (if connected). Used to read availability and create appointment events when a lead books a time through the widget. We do not read the contents of unrelated calendar events.
- Google Ads data (if connected). Used to retrieve read-only campaign performance metrics (such as impressions, clicks, and cost) to produce advertising performance reports for the account owner. We do not create, modify, or manage ads, and we do not use this data for any purpose other than reporting to the business that owns the ad account.
SnapQuote's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising targeting, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
4. Other Connected Services (Microsoft Outlook & Zoho)
Businesses can also connect their own email and calendar accounts from Microsoft Outlook (mail and calendar) or Zoho (mail and calendar) so that quotes are sent from their own address and appointments land on their own calendar. When you connect one of these accounts:
- Email. We use the connected mailbox solely to send quote and appointment emails on your behalf. We do not read, store, or analyze your inbox.
- Calendar. We read availability to offer open appointment times and create events when a lead books. We do not read the contents of unrelated calendar events.
OAuth tokens for connected accounts are stored securely and used only to provide these features. You can disconnect at any time from your SnapQuote settings or from your provider's connected-apps page (Microsoft account permissions, or Zoho Accounts → Connected Apps); disconnecting stops all further access. Data from connected services is never sold or used for advertising.
5. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the SnapQuote platform.
- To generate quotes, schedule appointments, and deliver notifications on behalf of our business customers.
- To produce performance and attribution reports for the business that owns the data.
- To communicate with you about your account and provide support.
- To protect the security and integrity of our services and comply with legal obligations.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
- The business you interact with. Conversations and contact details captured by a business's widget are shared with that business — that is the purpose of the product.
- Service providers. Cloud hosting, AI model providers, and email delivery services that process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements. When required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Business customers can request deletion of their account and associated data, and individuals can request access to or deletion of their personal information, by emailing info@snapquote.ai. Google account connections can be revoked at any time from your Google Account permissions page; revoking access stops all further data collection from Google APIs.
8. Security
We protect data using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, access controls, and credential isolation. API credentials and OAuth tokens are stored securely and are never embedded in source code.
9. Cookies & Analytics
Our website uses cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand site usage and improve our marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Children
SnapQuote is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to account holders by email.
